Roller Derby 101 Bootcamp

Interested in trying out roller derby?! Sign up for our November 2023 bootcamp. All experience levels welcome!

When: Wednesdays and Sundays in November (6-8pm)

What to bring:
-Photo ID
-Insurance Card (You must have personal insurance to skate and in January you will be required to purchase WFTDA insurance ~$70 for the year)
-Waterbottle
-Mouthguard

We will do our best to find loaner skates that fit your shoe size. We will also have loaner protective gear available. (If you are looking to purchase your own gear ahead of time, send us a message for helpful recommendations.)

OCCRD's Annual Monster's Brawl

It's that time of year again! Join us in an epic battle as team Fire skates against team Ice to see which element is truly the greatest of them all!

Feel like joining the fun? Cheer on your favorite team by wearing either blue for Ice or red for Fire.

Tickets are $7 and children under 10 are free. Save some time at the door by pre-buying on our venmo @occrd. In the subject put "Monster's Brawl" and how many people it's for.

Old Capitol City Roller Derby is BACK! After 2.5 years, OCCRD is ready to hit the track. Join us for Monster's Brawl: Punks v. Preps at our *new location* Mercer Rec. Center.

Support Iowa City's roller derby community while OCCRD faces off against the Quad City Rollers.

Doors open at 4:15, Bout begins at 5pm.

Monster's Brawl: OCCRD v. Unholy Rollers

Old Capitol City’s annual Monster’s Brawl will be against Madison’s Unholy Rollers. The theme for the bout is Cats v. Dogs (OCC and Unholy Rollers, respectively.)

Doors open at 5pm. Game play begins at 6pm.

Oh Hot Dame! The DuPage Derby Dames will be hitting the track on Saturday, April 14th! Don’t miss out on an action-packed night of roller derby as the Dames go up against Old Capitol City Roller Derby (Iowa City, IA). First up is the Dames Onslaught versus the Ped Maulers. Stay to catch Uproar go skate-to-skate against Old Capitol City All-Stars!

Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
First game at 6:00 p.m.
